Flavio Hafner

Flavio studied labour economics, receiving his PhD from Universitat Pompeu Fabra in 2020. After a Postdoctoral Fellowship at Aalto University, he joined the Netherlands eScience Center in 2022.

Flavio has been working on projects in social sciences, machine learning and energy market modeling. For instance, he worked on methods for generating privacy-preserving synthetic data, trained machine learning models on Dutch population data, and simulated the day-ahead electricity market. Besides project work, he also contributes to lesson development and teaches workshops.
