How can we help you?

Do you have a research problem that requires advanced software to solve it? We can help you! Get in touch with us if you want to know more or take a look at where we focus.

The eScience Center employs researchers with specific software skills who can collaborate with you on your research project. Our Research Software Engineers (RSEs) will help address your pressing research problems while improving the code, digital tools and methodologies you are working with.

We can collaborate with you in three different ways:

1. Open calls for proposals

If you are a researcher employed at a Dutch university or NWO/KNAW institute, you may apply for a contribution to your project from the eScience Center. This contribution is in-kind, which means that our RSEs will work together with you on your project.

View our latest calls for proposals or email Frank Seinstra.

2. Partnering in project consortia / proposals

You may want to submit a proposal to a funding organization, together with the eScience Center. We welcome such requests! We can partner with you in submitting project proposals to national and international funding programs, ranging from the Dutch Research Council NWO to Horizon Europe. We have ample experience in co-authoring project proposals and a relatively high success rate in obtaining funding.

For more information, please email Rob van Nieuwpoort.

3. Direct collaboration

You may already have your own funding for your project. If would like to tap into the advanced expertise offered by the eScience Center, it is possible to collaborate directly with us. In this case, too, improving software and addressing your research problem using digital technologies is the core of any collaboration.

For more information, please email Frank Seinstra.

The eScience Center can also provide a range of experts available to give guest lectures, keynote speeches, tailored workshops, and/or software demonstrations. Please reach out here if you have a proposal or project in mind.
