Fellowship project title: Teaching Reproducible Workflows to Future Researchers
The goal: The goal of our project is to promote the use of research software that lends itself to reproducible workflows among students (and faculty) in an undergraduate curriculum. We work towards that goal by setting up an apprenticeship program in which students and faculty work together on research projects while getting training on the use of research software via a series of workshops. The pilot of the program takes place in January 2024 at University College Roosevelt. Prior to the pilot, the organizers visit Wesleyan University’s Quantitative Analysis Center to learn from their experience of running a similar program.
The why: We hope this project contributes to solving the ongoing replication crisis.
