Fellowship project title: Mental Health Research Software

The goal: Create, promote, and bring together software tailored to mental health research and practice.

The why: In mental health research and practice, there is an abundance of data that is used only limitedly. Dedicated research software can help transform this data into insights, a process that is already seen in general medical science. The goal of the fellowship will be to help bridge this gap. This will involve initiatives like developing open-source tools for translating therapeutic questions into analytic solutions, integrating data into therapy sessions, and exploring AI opportunities for mental health. Meetings will be organized to inform therapists and researchers about these developments. The hope is that this will further spark the development and utilization of software that can ultimately help alleviate the burden for clients suffering from mental health problems.
