Annual eScience Center – Lorentz Competition now open!
11 Mar 2022 - 2 min

The Netherlands eScience Center and the Lorentz Center are looking for researchers who want to join the eScience Center – Lorentz Competition 2022 to submit a proposal for a workshop. The 5-day workshop should take place in the second half of 2023 and bring together researchers and technology experts from the academic community and the public/private sector at the Lorentz Center, Leiden, the Netherlands.
This year the competition aims to host a leading-edge workshop on Digital Twins. Digital twins are virtual representations of real-world objects or systems. They typically use several coupled models, sometimes supported by machine learning, and are refined with real-time data. Combined with interactive analysis and visualization, digital twin technology enables new insights and scientific discoveries, and allows researchers and policy makers to run what-if scenarios, supporting decision making.
