Annanda Dandi Sousa
Annanda has a PhD in Computer Science from the University of Galway, in Ireland, and has worked as a postdoc for three years at Maastricht University. Her research focused on ethically driven automatic Emotion Detection for children with autism, and her postdoctoral research involved designing and developing software systems to enable automatic Emotion Detection in VR environments.
Her areas of expertise include applied software systems, human-centred AI, distributed systems, human-computer interaction, and ethical AI. She has worked with applications spanning health, finances, psychology, industry training, VR, and disability support, with an emphasis on Open Source software and Open Science.
