Francesco Rossi


Fransesco completed hisPhD in Space Science and Technology at the University of Trento, Italy, where his thesis focused on the search for heavy antimatter in cosmic rays as a member of the AMS-02 collaboration at CERN, Switzerland. During his PhD, he developed a novel data-driven approach combining supervised and unsupervised machine learning algorithms to search for antihelium in cosmic rays.

He also worked on Monte Carlo simulations of space-based particle detectors, modelling stochastic processes and evaluating their expected performance and sensitivity to rare events.
