Programme Officer

Peter Kalverla

Peter is Programme Officer at the Netherlands eScience Center. He is responsible for the execution and development of the Center’s call programme – from initial planning and publishing of calls through granting and evaluation of research outcomes. Together with the portfolio team, Peter works to ensure the programme remains relevant, high-quality, and aligned with the eScience Center’s strategy.

Peter joined the eScience Center in 2019 as a Research Software Engineer in the Environment and Sustainability section, where he led projects on geospatial problems and developed a strong commitment to open science. His background is in meteorology and earth system sciences.
