NRSD 2025 Programme is Live!

We’re looking forward to welcoming you to the National Research Software Day (NRSD) on 25 November 2025 – a day to celebrate the essential role of software in research.

Only a few spots remain, so make sure to sign up to secure your place.

The preliminary programme is now available on the event website, featuring keynotes, interactive and unconference sessions, as well as networking opportunities.

Keynote speakers are Prof. Eric-Jan Wagenmakers (Professor of Psychology at the University of Amsterdam and founder of JASP) and Dr. Connie Clare (Community Development Manager at the Research Data Alliance). And there is a broad range of topics to choose from at the parallel sessions and unconference sessions.

Seven parallel sessions will be hosted by the eScience Center:

  1. SMP Tool: Create a Software Management Plan That Fits Your Project — Ole Mussmann
  2. Natural Language Processing Fundamentals — Angel Daza
  3. Research Software Training Netherlands (RST-NL) Network — Fenne Riemslagh
  4. Efficient computing in Julia – a new lesson — Johan Hidding
  5. RESOlution: Measuring and Benchmarking the Impact of Research Software & Is Your Research Software Ready for Open Science? — Deekshita
  6. eScience Center refreshed strategy — Thomas Hoyng
  7. Showing Research Software Impact with the Research Software Directory — Jason Maassen

A significant part of the programme is reserved for sessions led by community members like you. You can still propose unconference topics on the day itself! This is a great opportunity share your ideas with others. Plus, there’s an exciting opportunity to win €2000 from TDCC-NES to organise a follow-up event to an unconference session. This funding helps to turn the day’s ideas into concrete action.

We are looking forward to seeing you at the National Research Software Day on Tuesday 25 November at Lijm & Cultuur in Delft!

National Research Software Day 2025 is a joint initiative from NL-RSE, TU Delft and LCRDM. Funding is supplied by TU Delft, LCRDM and Open Science NL.
